King Fish Fry

King Fish Fry is marinated and shallow fried. As the name itself says, this variety of fish, is the King of all fishes. Since, the food here is only partly submerged in oil, it must be turned over partway, through the cooking process.


1. King fish - 4 slices
2. Ginger garlic paste - little
3. Lemon juice - one lemon
4. Chilly powder - 1tspn
5. Pepper powder - 1/4th tspn
6. Garam masala - 1pinch
7. Semolina (sooji) - 1tspn
8. Tandoori color - one pinch (optional)
9. Oil - 2tspn
10. Salt - according to taste

Cooking Method:

1. Marinate the fish pieces with all the ingredients and refrigerate for one to two hours. Here the semolina is used to absorb the water content in the fish.

2. In a non stick pan, add curry leaf and fry the marinated fish on a medium flame. The curry leaves, gives a good aroma to the fried fish.
