Ingredients:
1. Fine Semolina/Sooji/ rava - 1 cup
2. Granulated sugar - 1/2 cup
3. Clarified butter/ghee - 2 to 3 tbsp. (not required all of it)
4. Cashew nut/badam - 1/4 cup
5. Almond - 1/4 cup
Cooking method:
1. In a large bowl take semolina and add 1 tbsp of ghee and mix with your hands thoroughly.
2. Sprinkle lil water and make a dough out of the mixture.
3. Make round shapes, and pat them like shown in the picture below and fry in the ghee. After frying place it on a plate and allow it to cool.
4. Take this fried ones and blend in a mixture to get the smooth and soft consistency.
5. Fry this mixture until warm in a pan and add chopped dry fruits and sugar to it.
6. Since the mixture is warm, you would be able to form round lemon sized balls.
7. Once cooled, store them in an air tight container and keep them in a cool, dry place or store them in refrigerator.
* Here I have not used coconut or milk since adding these two, the ladoos does not remain too long.
* since the rava is cooked and blended in a mixture the raw taste of rava and ghee does not remain raw and forms smooth balls, which tastes good.
* can be added sugar free instead of granulated sugar to this sweet dish too, which is optional.
