Eggless Chocolate Cake is a dessert with both chocolate and coffee flavour. It is very simple and tastes delicious. The frosting can be done with any flavour of your choice. Here the Eggless Chocolate Cake is decorated with cream frosting and strawberry slices.
Ingredients:
1. Cake Flour - 310 ml
2. Corn Flour - 45 ml
3. Cocoa powder - 5 tbsp
4. Sugar - 1 cup
5. Baking Soda - 1 tsp
6. Oil- 8 tbsp.
7. Apple cider Vinegar - 2 tbsp.
8. Salt - 1/2 tsp
9. Vanilla extract - 2 tsp
10. Water - 1 cup
11. Instant Coffee - 1/2 tsp (optional)
(cup measurement is 250 ml)
Method:
1. Preheat the oven to 170 C /350 F.
2. Sieve all the dry ingredients in one bowl and whisk it.
3. Whisk all the wet ingredients in another bowl.
4. Pour the wet ingredients in to the dry ingredients slowly and gently. Whisk until everything is mixed well. Do not over mix.
5. Dust the baking pan with some flour, and then pour the batter to it. Gently tap the tin on the counter to remove air bubbles.
6. Bake the cake until the toothpick inserted comes out dry. After 40 minutes keep checking the cake, until you get the correct result.
*Remove the cake from the pan shortly after you take it out of the oven to prevent it from collapsing.
*Always let the cake cool on the rack so that it reduces in temperature evenly.
