Coriander Chutney

Corainder Chutney is an all-purpose chutney, known as Hara Chutni. This is a dip had with most of the snacks like samosas, pakodis, kachoris, and all kinds of chaats. Every home has their own recipe , which may be as simple as herbs, seasoning and lemon juice. The authentic taste and texture can be brought to this chutney if grounded on a stone, particularly meant to grind these kinds of sauce or dip.

Ingredients:

1. Coriander leaves - 1 bunch.
2. Green Chillies - 4 to 5 (adjust to the individuals spice)
3. Tomato - 1 small
4. Cumin Seeds - 2 tbsp.
5. Lemon Juice - 1 lemon
6. Salt to taste

Method:

1. Mix all the ingredients and simply puree them in a blender. Do not make it too smooth. Let it little course.

3. Once done, alter the taste and spice, salt and lemon juice preferably after tasting it. It should be herby and lemony.

4. Always make this chutney fresh when needed otherwise if kept for a little longer, the chutney will loose the green colour and the taste also will alter. 

5. Enjoy this simple hara chutney/the corainder chutney with any snack.



Note:

1. The coriander chutney can be used to make a sandwich too by just spearing it out evenly on the bread and adding the other ingredients and can also be used in wraps. 

This chutney when used in any form gives a flavour to the main dishes.
