Veg Cheese Samosas and Rolls is a cheesy snack with variety of vegetables added into it. These can be made of different sizes, and claimed to be an excellent starter for family get together or parties. This is very crispy and crunchy fast food and relished best with soups or chilled drinks.
Ingredients:
1. Samosa Pastry sheets - 5 to 6
2. All purpose flour - 1 tsp.
3. Mozzarella Cheese - 1/2 cup
4. Carrots grated - 1/2 cup
5. Fresh/frozen peas - 1/2 cup
6. French beans - 1/4 cup (finely chopped)
7. Chilly flakes - 1 tsp.
8. Salt to taste
9. Oil for deep frying
Cooking Method:
1. Heat 1/2 tsp oil in a pan, and saute grated carrots, french beans and peas. Keep it covered on low flame.
2. After 3 to 4 min add salt and chill flakes. Do not cook it too much, keep it half cooked.
3. Finally cool the veggies, and then chop Mozzarella cheese and add to it.
4. Make a thin paste with 1 tsp. of all purpose flour and little water to seal the pastry sheets.
5. Take the samosa pastry sheets and cut the sheets to a rectangular shape. Make a cone in the start of the sheet and seal the edges. Roll the sheets to a triangle shape and finally again seal the pastry sheets. Roll the sheet till the end and once fried, you can see the layers inside.
6. Shape all the sheets with the filling and keep it aside for deep frying. Keep it covered with a damp cloth, so that the pastry sheets does not dry up.
7. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry all the samosas in the low to medium flame. Enjoy it with salad.
* Let the Veg stuffing gets cooled and then add cheese otherwise cheese will melt and it will be difficult in stuffing.
* Seal the edges carefully so that while frying the samosas the cheese does not come out.
* You can give different shapes too with these pastry sheets. With the same rectangle sheet, fill the veggies and fold the sheet from both the sides, and then roll the sheet forward and seal it up. These becomes your cheese veg rolls. You can also give a shape as puffs too.
