Chicken Curry

Chicken Curry is an Indian-based curry cooked with a lot of spices and flavoured coriander. This chicken curry tastes good with all kinds of bread, Indian and continental. It also tastes good with a lot of indian foods like, rice (simple and flavoured, such as ghee rice and zeera rice), dosa, idly, puttu (kerala cuisine), raagi ball (Karnataka cuisine) and semiya (Tamil Nadu cuisine).



Ingredients:

1. Chicken - 1/2kg

2. cinnamon, cardmon and clove- 1nos each
3. Onion - 1nos
4. Coriander leaves - 1 cup
5. Green chilly - 1nos
6. Tomotoes - 2medium or 3small
7.  Ginger and garlic paste - 1/2tsp
8. Chilly powder - 1tspn
9. Pepper powder - 1/2tspn
10. Garam masala - little
11. Salt according to taste
12. Oil 2 to 3 tbsp

Cooking Method:

1. Grind together coriander, chilly and onion.

2. Chop the tomatoes too and make a separate paste.

3. In a pot take oil and add cinnamon, cardamom and clove.

4. To it add the onion and chilly coriander paste. Cook till the raw smell of onion reduces.

5. To it add ginger garlic paste. Fry for a minute and add chicken.

6. Fry the chicken for five minutes.

7. Add the tomato paste and fry till the masala leaves oil in the pot.

8. Then Add chilly powder, pepper powder, garam masala and salt. Add 1/2 glass of water, and cover and cook till it gets tender. Garnish with fine chopped coriander leaves.

* cook the curry in a medium flame.
